Precision Steel Services Inc. specializes in aluminum extrusion fabrication with supplemental pouring and debridging services that include the application of Azon Thermal Barrier polymer for specific applications. The same fabrication or finishing services offered for aluminum extrusions are also available for sheet metal projects. These include supplemental shearing, brake press forming, welding, powder coating, and bending services. Our well-equipped machine shop is beyond capable of transforming two-dimensional metal sheets into complex three-dimensional designs and now includes a state-of-the-art 2024 F291X17 5-Axis X Series CNC Router. Additionally, our facility operates state-of-the-art laser cutting and water jet cutting equipment capable of cutting sheet metal, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and other common manufacturing materials. Precision Steel has extensive experience working within the construction industry, automotive sector, and countless others since 1997 to deliver high-quality finished products at competitive prices and expedited turnaround times.
Precision Steel Services Inc. is intimately familiar with the fabrication processes required to optimize aluminum extrusions and sheet metal for various applications and final assemblies. Aluminum extrusion fabrication capabilities include CNC machining, milling, notching, drilling, tapping, and even curving when specified by the customer. Through our relationships with third-party finishers, clients can send a raw aluminum extrusion and receive a finished product without coordinating additional services. There are no restrictions on the size, shape, or type of aluminum extrusions that we can work with and our team is always ready to embrace a unique challenge!
In addition to fabrication for aluminum extrusions, Precision Steel is exceptionally skilled and adept at sheet metal fabrication or forming including shearing, brake press forming, and bending. Furthermore, using our laser cutting technology or water jet, we can cut sheet metal to match any design specifications no matter the complexity. Each of these processes combines to help transform a two-dimensional sheet of metal into a three-dimensional finished product.
Bolstered by recently added equipment, Precision Steel laser and plasma cutting services produce precision components with exceptional turnaround times. Our facility currently operates a pair of Boss FC-6012 Elite Fiber Cutting Machines and a Whitney 3400 XP Punch/Plasma Combination Machine designed to support the more demanding metal-cutting applications required by our customers. This equipment is capable of cutting varying widths of sheet metal as well as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, titanium, and copper with extreme precision and accuracy. Precision Steel laser cut components have proved invaluable to our clients in the automotive industry and construction industry.
Water jet cutting can be a suitable procedure for many of the same materials as laser cutting. However, since high-pressure water jet cutting is known as “cold-cutting” it is also highly desirable for cutting more delicate materials such as composites like carbon fiber, foam, rubber, and acrylic while still suitable for more robust materials like sheet metals. Water jet cutting produces smooth edges without burn marks, cracking, or excessive burrs that can impact the final part quality or necessitate additional finishing. The water jet cutting system at Precision Steel employs dual programmable cutting heads with 3-axis capabilities that have doubled production, expanded our viability to new industries, and proved invaluable in reducing lead times.
Pouring and debridging of aluminum extrusions is an essential part of creating insulating thermal barriers. This two-step process involves pouring a liquid polymer into a channel within the aluminum extrusion and then actually removing a section of the cavity to create an insulating barrier. To provide optimized thermal insulation properties the extrusion must be altered so that metal is no longer coming into contact with other metal. As a certified applicator of Azon SU 315 14-T Thermal Polymer, Precision Steel Services follows an exact set of specifications to inlay the two-component compound that hardens in seconds and is ready for debridging. Once the metal bridge is removed, the final aluminum extrusion product is energy-efficient and offers impressive structural integrity for use in commercial buildings, residential construction, and other architectural applications.
Precision Steel Services offers experienced AWS-certified MIG and TIG welding that meets all required AWS D1.1 and D1.2 codes for structural steel and aluminum components.
